Abstract

2,3-Dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-1,4-benzoxazepin-5(4H)-ones and 2,3-dihydro-2,2,6-trimethyl-1,5-benzoxazepin-4(5H)-ones have been synthesized by the Beckmann rearrangement of 2,2-dimethyl-4-chromanone oximes.
